Unaccompanied minors

Children may travel alone as unaccompanied minor (UM) from 4 to 15 years old (age scale depending on the airline's policy).

When checking-in the child will get a folder containing:

  • plane ticket
  • identity papers
  • parental permission
  • an identification sheet filled by the parents and identifying the person in charge of picking up the child at destination

Airport staff will take care of the child until he boards the plane. Then the airline staff will be in charge.

Minors travelling to international destinations:

Holding a passport is mandatory from the age of 15. A minor who is not yet 15, may travel with his parents if identified on one of the parent's passport.

Passengers with reduced mobility

Pierrefonds Airport is equipped to welcome people with reduced mobility.

As soon as you book your flight, and at least 48 hours before departure, let the airline know of any specific needs.

When arriving at the airport

The parking is situated near the terminal. If you wish so, do not hesitate to contact the information desk of the airport (0262 96 80 00) for assistance from the parking to the check-in area. You can also show up at reception desk in the entrance hall or at the airline's office in the main hall. In this case, the airline staff will contact our support service.

When travelling with a service-dog

Dogs are not accepted in the airport terminal. The only exception is for guidedogs, accompanying their owners in the cabin. Please note that guidedogs must be muzzled.

Animal transport

As your pet belongs to you, transport is authorized on national and international flights. Inform your airline at booking stage.

Depending on your destination, transport of animals might be subject to special conditions. Ask your airline or travel agent. for further information

Obtaining the necessary documents to the pet's entry at destination are under the owner's responsibility.

Do not forget to bring the animal’s vaccination record.

Conditions for transport in cabin

The animal must not exceed 6 kgs.

The animal must be carried in a special bag (bag must contain a zip closer and/or a window for breathing. The bag must not exceed 115 cm in size (height+ length +width))

Conditions for transport in hold

The animal must exceed 6 kg.

The animal must travel in a cage in accordance with the french standard NF, for instance the Sky Kennel type. Veterinarians and/or some airlines do sell this type of equipment.

Fees

Pets usually count as a supplementary piece of luggage. Guide dogs may travel for free in the aircraft's cabin.
